Flash Face Off!!
In this corner we have El Pokey 128MB Generic CF

And in this Corner we have the new SanDisk Ultra II 256MB CF rated at
60x!!

In it's sleek retail packaging and included carry case ...

We face these two off with a simple disk write :) How boring you say
but the results
speak for themselves!! Test conducted in a
USB 2.0 card reader
and timed with this elegant timepiece:

We obtained the following results from this completely unscientific
test.
Results may vary from machine to machine.
One solid 65MB Zip file (OpenOffice 1.1), drag and drop style.
128MB Generic CF took 65 seconds to equal 1MB/s
256MB SanDisk UltraII took 35 seconds to equal 1.85MB/s
Nearly double the performance of the generic card. This little puppy
will be sure
to speed up most any device you have ranging from cameras to portable
music players.
And it is a "Type I" card so no need to worry about incompatibility.
Rest assured, it will
move as fast as your device can handle. Faster cards will also enhance
your battery life
as the read/write time is significantly reduced so you'll be snapping
pictures and flying
through songs faster than before. You'll be happy to know Sandisk also makes their Ultra
series flash card in SD and Memory Stick formats. I'm sure they even have an XD version
for you Olympus and Fuji camera toting folks.
